I would like to ask those who are familiar with compressor control systems: in the anti-surge semi-automatic mode, can the anti-surge valve close automatically? It seems that on my end it can only be turned on automatically; to turn it off, it has to be done manually
Ours also shuts off automatically; to turn it on manually is required
The anti-surge valve must be an automatic switch. It operates within a safe range through pressure and flow monitoring. The compressor has experienced surge, which can cause operators to become nervous; sometimes surge is not detected in time, and the anti-surge valve does not open promptly, which may lead to equipment failures.
Anti-surge valves are definitely automatic control switches that act very quickly; it’s simply impossible for humans to react in time
Automatic mode certainly involves automatic switching. As for semi-automatic mode, since it’s possible to manually open the anti-surge valve, if it shuts automatically as well, then there’s no point in opening it manually
It can be turned on manually, but it must turn off automatically, as the processor needs to make a decision – after all, accidents can happen
Let me give an example: if the operating conditions of the current unit require the anti-surge valve to be open at 10%, and the operator enters semi-automatic mode and manually sets the value to 20%, will the valve remain open at 20% or will it automatically drop back to 10%?
Although it is in semi-automatic mode, when manual commands are entered, the controller still carries out the relevant adjustments according to those commands; the sequence of operations is predetermined by programs within the controller
