Currently, the length of the body of our DN100mm vortex flowmeter with temperature sensor compensation is 350mm. However, due to installation constraints on site, only models with a body length of 250mm can be used. Therefore, we would like to change the body length from 350mm to 250mm. Will this have an impact on the accuracy? If there is an impact, is it significant? Please ask an expert to explain. Thank you
You need to ask the manufacturer about this~ If there’s no such type of gauge head, it’s not worth their while making a mold just for you. Look at several different models and ask a few different manufacturers. If vortex flow meters don’t work, orifice plates can be considered. Or an integrated orifice plate, which also features temperature and pressure compensation.
If it wasn’t manufactured with this feature, consider switching to a model without compensation, and then add a thermal resistor yourself; you can either use an integrator on-site or write a compensation program in the DCS
It’s not the header length, but the body length – the distance from flange to flange. It’s normally 350mm, and now I want to make the distance between flange faces 250mm. Will this affect the measurement accuracy?

You can choose a clamp-type vortex flow meter without flanges.
Who said vortex flow meters have built-in temperature and pressure compensation? This is just one model; versions with temperature and pressure compensation can be created, as well as integrated orifice plates, turbines, and so on that can be designed in this way as well
