I would like to ask fellow sailors: is the pressure difference an analog or digital value?
The pressure difference referred to in general is an analog value, which is the difference between two pressure transducers or the difference in pressure between the positive and negative chambers of a differential pressure transmitter.
But isn’t the pressure difference value a quantity that changes continuously over time?

Are you asking what signal the differential pressure sensor outputs? It seems I’ve never seen a differential pressure transmitter that outputs digital values

On our instruments, only electrical signals have analog and digital forms; it’s just a difference in the type of signal
Whether it’s pressure difference or differential pressure – once the pressure signal reaches the DCS, it’s up to you to decide how to process it
