Regarding the reaction forces of the locator

Has anyone studied the positive and negative effects of the Yamawa locator, and how to turn the positive effect of the locator into a negative one, or vice versa?
The instructions should contain settings for adjusting the positive and negative reactions; if not, it’s best to consult the manufacturer. Additionally, the direction of action cannot be adjusted on the locator; this can be done through the parameter settings of the regulator.
To adjust the direction of action for the Azbil AVP series positioners, it is necessary to disassemble the exhaust section; after removing the amplifier, reverse the nozzle baffle. This has been done several times before.
Our unit uses a Yamatake locator, it’s blue and doesn’t have a display; just convert it to use HART
I remember I used to use positioners of the AVP3000 type; those from Yamaki were the easiest to adjust – all that was needed was a flathead screwdriver. Adjusting the forward and reverse actions as well as calibrating the travel distance could be done simply by turning the screws on the positioner back and forth
There are several answers. Should it be modified using a manual controller or by mechanical means? In other words, is it done through software configuration changes or external hardware modifications?
