In the face of severe environmental challenges in the sodium chlorate industry, it is necessary to conduct online analysis of the chlorine content in the exhaust gases. For various reasons, no mature technologies exist for this purpose in this industry. I considered using electrochemical chlorine analyzers, but in practice it turned out to be very difficult to get such devices to function properly. One factory hired a professional analyzer manufacturer to develop such a device; after a month of attempts, the effort was unsuccessful. I am seeking advice from experts: what is the principle behind electrochemical methods for detecting chlorine? I’m referring to the electrode chemical equations. The remaining components in the exhaust gases are 60% hydrogen, 40% water vapor, and other trace substances. It is required that the chlorine emission level remain below 65 ppm. I hope experts can suggest some cost-effective solutions
