There is currently one set of acrylic and acrylate processing units. The level gauge used in the refining distillation tower features a double-flange design; the medium handled is acrylic along with a polymerization inhibitor. The double flanges are equipped with root valves. Currently, problems often arise due to polymerization of the material within these double flanges. Given that this medium crystallizes at low temperatures and undergoes polymerization at higher temperatures, is there a more suitable type of level gauge? I would appreciate advice from those with experience in this area
Crystallization occurs at low temperatures, while polymerization takes place at high temperatures. The only thing that can be done is to provide heat insulation for the root valve, but it seems difficult to control the temperature. When making the selection, you should go for plug-in double flanges; for your application conditions, it seems that a contactless type would be the best choice.
