Instrument signals are generally weak signals, and there are high requirements for resistance to interference; let’s discuss this
Generally, anti-interference measures such as shielded cables and signal isolation modules are used
We have been using ordinary shielded signal wires (not twisted pair) for 200 meters at 5KHZ, and they have worked perfectly fine. And it shares the cable tray with the electrical wiring.
A distance of over 200 mm between strong current and weak current circuits is generally sufficient to avoid issues
To what extent will the signal be affected by interference from power cables when shielded cables are used?
Theoretically, it should not be affected by interference, but the actual situation needs to be verified through experiments. This is primarily influenced by factors such as the distance between the signal lines and the power lines, their arrangement, signal strength, the quality of shielding, the grounding condition, and environmental conditions.
It is also related to the voltage level and current magnitude of the power cable, I guess.
Frequency signals generally have a fairly good resistance to interference, right?
