What is the professional term for this automatic control point shown in the diagram? What I wrote is “flow display and control for the steam pipeline, along with interlocking with the steam pipeline control valve”. Experts say that writing it this way is incorrect; this situation does not fall under interlocking. So, what is this? And what exactly is interlocking? I would appreciate your advice.

Some shut-off valves are manually operated and not interlocked. Whether it is interlocked depends on whether there is an interlock symbol or not.

Placing the LS interlock icon from the diagram in the flow control circuit will represent the interlock control circuit. Changes in the flow signal (low low or high high) trigger the interlock control valve to close.
It is just a flow control circuit for a low-pressure steam pipeline.
