Some pressure gauge pressure conduits are ordinary tubes, while others use capillaries – what is the difference? Where are pressure gauges with capillaries used? I seek advice from experts. Thank you all first.
Are you referring to a pressure gauge? Why bring a capillary? The person in charge of the design must have had water in their brain.
For pressure measurement of media with high viscosity or tendency to crystallize, capillary remote transmitters should be used.
In my opinion, both serve to transmit pressure; capillary pressure gauges should be primarily used in situations where pressure measurement is required in fluids with high viscosity that are prone to clogging.
Clean media can be installed using pressure guiding pipes directly, while media containing particles must be installed using capillary flanges; high-temperature media require condensation bends.
Highly corrosive media can also be handled using a diaphragm with a capillary.
I don’t understand what the person above is talking about. Corrosive media, tendency to crystallize, high viscosity – can’t pressure measurement be done using a single flange? Why is a capillary tube needed?

Is it corrosion, easy crystallization, high viscosity of the medium, or high temperature? When the temperature is above 250 degrees, capillaries are also not very suitable.
There is a reason why capillaries are chosen for certain applications; you should take a look at where they are used
