Similarly, if the insertion depth is incorrect, the operating temperature will be completely inaccurate.
If a thermometer with L=200 and another with L=280 are inserted at the same location on the same device, will they show the same temperature reading?
Whether the measurement is accurate depends on whether the sensing end of the thermometer can make full contact with the medium. If both 200 and 280 can maintain full contact with the medium, and the temperature is relatively uniform throughout the medium, then there is no difference.
