Regarding Yokogawa’s DCS systems

I have used Honeywell’s DCS system in the past; when issues arose during operation, it was possible to group relevant parameters together for analysis by examining historical trends. However, in the Yokogawa DCS system I’ve been using recently, I couldn’t find this feature – I’m not sure why
Yokogawa also has this feature: on the trend interface, click on the trend pen in the upper left corner, and then select the corresponding tag from the drop-down menu next to each trend pen to combine them. It should be noted that only those with the same sampling period can be combined together.
Most modern DCS systems come equipped with data comparison functions; it’s just that the methods for setting them up vary!
Yokogawa allows for adjusting the parameters that need to be displayed within a trend, and temporarily combining them into one trend group for viewing and comparison. However, unlike Honeywell, adjustments can only be made to parameters within the same larger trend group (which consists of more than 10 sub-groups); adjustments are not possible if the range is too large. In other words, adjustments can only be made to around 100 predefined parameters.
