Is it better for the mounting hole of the temperature sensor on the motor’s rolling bearings to be through-the-hole or non-through-the-hole?
It’s the area marked with a red circle in the diagram; does that sensor probe make direct contact with the surface of the outer ring of the bearing? Should I drill a hole without making it through, keeping a certain distance?
Lie however you want. A few millimeters, an utterly trivial distance; there’s no reason for such nonsense.
It must absolutely not penetrate; if it does, the bearing will be ruined. A sufficient distance must be maintained, and the greater this distance, the better, as long as it is possible to measure the temperature of the rolling bearing.
Do not drill through. The bearing temperature measurement points on a turbine are like this: the sensor is located 7-10 mm away from the outer ring of the bearing
