Hello everyone. The new control system installed in our company uses Siemens’ PLC control technology. Has anyone used it before? What is like its human-machine interface? Compared to Honeywell’s systems, what are the advantages and disadvantages? Which one is more user-friendly and easier for operators to master? Everyone is welcome to discuss.

The Siemens human-machine interface has more powerful functions than Honeywell’s, but its stability is slightly inferior to that of Honeywell’s. The difficulty of learning* is more or less the same for all. (This is my personal opinion; please don’t criticize if it’s wrong.)
It’s not true that DCS is necessarily more advanced than PLCs; it depends on the specific model. Additionally, PLCs are usually not integrated as a complete system like DCS, so there is no fixed standard for what the operating interface should be. As long as you want, there are plenty of human-machine interface software options available. Of course, Siemens has its own software, usually WinCC. As for what the interface looks like, it entirely depends on the composition of the configuration team; there is no fixed format.
For DCS, choose Yokogawa; for PLC, choose Siemens – they have a high market share and provide adequate after-sales technical support.
It’s just a matter of different styles; there is no superiority or inferiority
