Help, what does xv in the picture mean?

It’s just a designation; a on/off valve or a quick-open/quick-close valve is called XV!
xv is generally a programmable valve, two-position, fully open or fully closed.
The upper two circles represent the remote on/off feedback signals; the lower two circles indicate the on/off status at the site; the lowest circle denotes the position of the shut-off valve
X denotes a category-free, general meaning; V stands for valve, which is simply the code for a valve. The sequence 041201 refers to the identification number of that valve. 04 is likely the code for your production section, 12 indicates page 12 of the PID document, and 01 refers to the first valve of that type on that page. This is basic common knowledge regarding PID
The two-position on/off valve, together with other addressing codes, allows it to provide position signals indicating whether the valve is in the open or closed position.
