The medium-pressure drum float level gauge showed normal readings during operation; it indicated 100% when the unit was shut down, but returned to normal once the unit was restarted. It is suspected that it is a problem with the gauge output settings; an alarm is generated when there is no liquid level in the drum, and the output is sent to the DCS at a value greater than 20 mA
During startup and shutdown processes, the density of the water in the drum changes, and the situation you mentioned can indeed occur! The density of the buoy is determined based on the operating conditions under normal operation.
I went to the site just now to check; once power was restored to the safety barrier after it lost power, the liquid level returned to zero
Many level gauges, such as those with floats, radar-based ones, and ultrasonic ones, tend to freeze and require a power reset to function again; I’m not sure what the reason is ? ?
Different issues need to be explained based on the actual usage conditions on site; how can a single explanation address various problems related to instruments in the field? ! Unless all the watches are broken! The solution is to replace the gauge; the reasons are all the same!
