Our company is carrying out technical upgrades by adding another card component, and we also need to modify the flow diagrams. Since it’s not possible to shut down the system, the installation must be done offline. Will this have any impact on the entire system? What precautions should be taken during offline installation? Thank you!
Theoretically, adding card slots does not require offline installation; only hardware installation is needed. However, nothing is 100% certain, so it is advisable to take preventive measures, and modifying the process interfaces has no impact on the system.
It’s fine to add nodes online, but keep the following in mind: 1. It’s best to execute the Online Save parameter before downloading. 2. The configuration should be backed up on a different storage medium to prevent damage to the hard drive.

The Yokogawa CS3000 allows hardware to be added online, but one has to be cautious just in case. So it’s still necessary to prepare emergency plans in advance.
