I have recently been working on a device, an exhaust gas processor, which uses gas burners to mix propane with air and ignite the exhaust gases so that they burn completely. But there is one system I don’t understand: there is a proportional valve on the gas pipeline, and there is a line connected to the air pipeline that is in communication with the gas pipeline. Measure the pressure, and use this to adjust the gas ratio? I don’t understand. Does anyone among the experts at HaiChuan Instruments know this?
Similar to old-fashioned household sprayers, it uses high-speed airflow to carry the material out and spray it.
The fuel injection amount of the combustion nozzle is controlled by the pressure in front of the nozzle. More fuel enters when the pressure is high, and less fuel enters when the pressure is low ; The air required for combustion must be in a certain proportion to the fuel; too little air leads to incomplete combustion and black smoke, while too much air results in unstable combustion, which can cause detonation at the nozzle or issues with the nozzle itself ; The proportional valve shown in the diagram has a structure very similar to that of common self-acting control valves; however, the sampling tube is connected not to the air pipeline but to the fuel pipeline. The air control valve is adjusted based on fuel pressure to maintain a certain ratio between the amount of air and the amount of fuel (actually, fuel pressure).
