Can the front connector of a Siemens PLC IO module be plugged and unplugged while powered on?
I don’t know, but I remember that when this module got damaged and was removed, the power wasn’t turned off

Actually, the front connector is nothing but a wiring terminal; you can remove it if you want to, but the wires will be disconnected. You need to make sure that there are no pathways in these wires that could cause interlocking or similar issues.

Isn’t the connector connected to the card? How can the card be replaced without removing it first?
