What issues can cause fluctuations in mass flow meters?
Vibration, bubbles, interference, hardware failure
From the perspective of installation and use, there are several possibilities: 1) The Coriolis mass flow meter operates on the principle of vibration; therefore, the installation location should be as free from vibration as possible, and the piping system must be securely supported. If a vibration source is unavoidable, it is recommended to use hoses for connection. The connection pipeline and the instrument interface must be on the same axis, so as not to apply any additional force to the instrument. Unnecessary additional forces can affect the measurement accuracy of the instrument. 2) Throttling devices such as flow control valves must be installed at the outlet of the flow meter. 3) The flow meter should be placed at an appropriate distance from the pump outlet, especially in the case of reciprocating pumps; too short an installation distance may cause fluctuations in the flow measurement values. 4) When insulation is required for measuring high-temperature fluids, please ensure that the insulation enclosure or heat tracing pipeline does not come into direct contact with the sensor enclosure. . 5) The fluid to be measured must be in an appropriate flow state. If, under natural conditions, the flow state of the fluid is not suitable, external measures must be taken to improve it; this can be achieved by adjusting the temperature of the fluid (by heating/cooling or maintaining a constant temperature) so that the fluid is in an appropriate flow state.
