For valves operating in hydrogen media, should a hard seal or a soft seal be chosen? Which type is better for use?
Personally, I think hydrogen does not affect the type of sealing used, but since the pressure in hydrogen pipelines is generally high, hard seals are more commonly employed.
Check whether it is a control valve or a shut-off valve, and consider the pressure and temperature
Isolation valve, hydrogen adsorption, room temperature, pressure 2 MPa
Choose a hard seal, which offers a low leakage level and minimal amount of leakage
I think soft seals are better than hard seals
