After purchasing and using Rosemount transmitters, it’s inevitable that some malfunctions may occur during their use. When our Rosemount transmitters malfunction, we need to repair or replace them. As long as the issue is due to a defect in the product itself and falls within the warranty period, we can generally provide free repairs or replacements. The warranty period we usually refer to is the one specified in the contract at the time of purchase; the warranty period for Rosemount transmitters is generally one year. For items that need repair or replacement and are within the normal range, we must first contact the dealer, purchaser, or manufacturer to find a solution. Those that require repair should be sent to the designated location; when sending the products, we need to provide information about the fault symptoms and the conditions under which the fault occurred, as well as the model specifications and serial number, so that repairs or replacements can be carried out. If the failure occurs due to any of the following reasons, the user will have to bear the repair costs, even if it is still within the warranty period. 1. Incorrect user (product-specific item name) or improper maintenance. 2. The instruments were not operated, used, or stored correctly as required by the design. 3. Failures or damages caused by human action. 4. Failures or damages caused by modifications or maintenance carried out by entities that are not Rossmont or not designated, due to the transmitter being used in an environment that does not comply with Rossmont’s specified standards, or due to incorrect installation locations. 5. Failures or damages caused by incorrect installation of the instrument. 6. Damage caused by force majeure. Such as fires, earthquakes, heavy rains, floods, lightning or other natural disasters, riots, war, or radioactive contamination. From the above, it is clear which Rosemount transmitters from the United States fall within the manufacturer’s warranty coverage. Those that are not covered by the warranty can still be repaired, but in such cases the customer will have to bear the costs themselves.
