I have a question regarding automated instrumentation transmitters: could you please provide detailed information on the wiring methods for 0-20mA and 4-20mA signals, as well as the precautions to take?
Are 0-20mA still in use nowadays?
There isn’t much difference. The main difference is the range; they should not be confused.
0-20MA – it was that chief engineer who proposed the Nobel Prize in Physics.

I wasn’t aware that there are instruments with a range of 0-20mA; I only knew that the old-style Type 1 and Type 2 instruments used a 0-10mA range. They were four-wire systems, with two wires for power supply and the other two for the output current; Meters with a 4-20mA output start from type E3; they are of the two-wire type, with the power supply output using two wires – just connect the positive and negative terminals correctly
I’ve never seen ones with a range of 0–20 ma; for 4–20 ma systems, it’s sufficient to connect the positive and negative terminals of the power cable – only two power cables are needed.
0-10mA? Are you sure there are no typos?
