There is a pneumatic diaphragm control valve. Previously, during manual initialization of the positioner, the valve did not reach its full stroke – that is, at 20 milliamps the valve was not fully open, but only reached 85% of its full stroke (it has been confirmed on-site that the valve can be opened to 100%). Now, during ongoing production, it is desired to increase the valve’s stroke to 100% by resetting the internal parameters of the positioner, without shutting down the machine (initialization is not allowed during production, as it would interrupt the manufacturing process). Is there any way to achieve this? I checked the instructions; there is a maximum travel distance specified for address number 36. I wonder if changing it will have any effect? Another question is: if the locator address is changed, is initialization necessary for it to function? I would appreciate it if the experts could give me some advice. Thank you.
It’s impossible to achieve that, right? A value of 38 parameters corresponds 100% to what you call the \"not fully open\" state; it’s also not possible to set it at 120%. How can the actuator continue to release gas and open the valve?

Isn’t there a bypass installed on this valve? Simply modifying the parameters is not enough; it is necessary to re-validate them automatically or manually.
You can adjust the slider. It’s about reducing the travel distance, so that the locator believes it hasn’t reached 100% and continues to move.

First question: It is not possible to adjust the valve’s full position without affecting its opening degree or normal operation; the full position must be recalibrated
Second question: Unless it can be absolutely guaranteed that there is not the slightest change in the installation position of the locator as well as in the feedback shaft during relocation, and that the valve stroke remains consistent, the locator must be recalibrated after relocation
They asked for 100% utilization; they didn’t mention anything about 0%. To retest, you still need to talk nonsense here.
