Does anyone know the air circuit diagram for this type of cylinder and solenoid valve? Isn’t a normal three-way solenoid valve designed with one inlet, one outlet, and one exhaust port? Why are all three outlets of this solenoid valve connected to the cylinder? How does this cylinder work?
The air source passes through a pressure reducing valve to the solenoid valve; from the solenoid valve, one path leads to the middle port of the cylinder, while the other path goes through a two-way connector to the upper and lower ports of the cylinder respectively. Isn’t such an action contradictory?

It doesn’t have a locator; it’s controlled by a solenoid valve. The one below the pressure relief valve should be a three-way solenoid valve

The intake in the middle has the valve open, while the intakes on both sides have the valves closed; this doesn’t cause any conflict. Two three-way solenoid valves: when the valves are open, air enters the middle cylinder; when the valves are closed, the air in the middle cylinder is forced by the spring back into the two side cylinders. That’s what I guess. This type of valve with comb-tooth angular stroke also has a design in which air enters from both sides and is guided to the central cylinder through the air passages inside the cylinder.

The reason why one path leads straight to the middle of the cylinder while the other path splits into two paths going to each end of the cylinder is mainly because there are two pistons in this cylinder: the pistons on both sides move towards the center, while the piston in the middle moves towards both sides. It mainly depends on whether the solenoid valve is 2/3-way or 2/5-way; this helps determine whether there is a return spring inside the cylinder……
This has air intake on both sides with the valve open. Is the air trapped between the closed valves discharged back to the upper and lower parts of the cylinder through solenoid valves?
When the middle intake valve is opened or closed, does the air from the middle pass through the solenoid valve’s exhaust port to the upper and lower parts of the cylinder?
Agree with the person above. This should be a double-acting cylinder, with an air inlet valve in the middle and exhaust valves on both sides ; The intake valves on both sides are closed, with exhaust at the middle. You should understand it by looking at the air circuit diagram of the solenoid valve
If it is a double-acting cylinder, it should be a two-position four-way solenoid valve. The poster had better check the solenoid valve model. Two three-way valves cannot control a dual-action cylinder.
