I would like to ask the experts: Are fire alarm controllers in chemical plants generally installed in the fire control room of the comprehensive building, or in the instrument control room?
There is a dedicated fire control room and fire monitoring personnel; of course, the fire control room is located there. It is best to locate the instrument control room there, as there are no dedicated fire monitoring personnel. Our safety supervision requirements dictate that fire alarms must be dealt with promptly and recorded; generally, this task is handled by the operators of the production units on a part-time basis, while important reports are sent to the Safety and Environment Department
1. With personnel on duty, it is generally installed in the fire control room or the process operation room. 2. Without personnel on duty, the signal needs to be connected to the fire control room; alerts must be sent to the fire control center, and it can be placed in the instrument control room. It can be done if the control room is manned 24 hours a day.
The controller is required to be installed in the fire control room, where it is monitored 24 hours a day by fire fighters.
