As shown in the figure, it is controlled by two solenoid valves; is interlock control required for this overall setup? Do we still need redundancy? ? ?

It should be a double-acting control valve with a positioner
It must be a single-acting cylinder without a positioner, because the accessories include only SMC’s filter pressure regulator, ASCO’s 8327 series solenoid valves, and that switch on top is probably from ToPworx. To determine whether it is a single-acting or double-acting actuator, one usually looks at its size – those that are longer are generally single-acting, as they contain springs inside, while double-acting cylinders are shorter in length
