Apart from being displayed on the control cabinet’s IO module and then shown on the central control screen, are there any other ways to display the signals from the field instruments? (In the Hilscher system, valves that are interlocked with temperature values can be viewed along with their specific station numbers; these details are also visible on the channel control screen. However, for this temperature value, the station number and channel number are not visible. The technicians here say that this temperature value is transmitted via communication. Could someone explain how this communication works, especially in relation to the Hilscher K series?)

I have never used Allen-Bradley systems. However, the communication point is what is commonly known as the soft point. It is likely the data transmitted through communication between the PLC of the on-site packaging equipment and the DCS; commonly used protocols are MODBUS and PROFIBUS-DP
The Modbus module costs over 10,000; it’s more likely to use DP directly
