As shown in the diagram, the boiler feed water pressure regulator, once set to automatic mode, occasionally switches back to the manual mode. The pressure set at the automatic level also experiences slight fluctuations. What is the cause of this, and what type of issue is it? Please give me some advice. Thank you!
First, you need to check whether your program is designed in this way; otherwise, I think there might be an issue with the program you are running, and you should consult an instrumentation engineer to deal with it.
Try reconfiguring this module, but set it to manual mode; also check whether it can be installed offline and what impacts that might have.
It’s a problem with configuring this block; run a simulation to check.

Which manufacturer’s DCS? I’m a beginner when it comes to instruments; is this kind of problem usually caused by poor module design on the part of the manufacturer? Was it because we didn’t configure it correctly?
EMERSON’s DELTAV system initialization manual (IMAN) – is by no means an acceptable mode of operation. The original definition was manual initialization, meaning that the function block monitors downstream operations (typically another function block with an open-loop cascade). It could be caused by an AO or AI failure
Deltav being in manual mode from the start is simply not a normal state! As mentioned above, it is recommended to have someone with self-control check where the problem lies. Send me the panel diagram of this valve
Is it a problem with the program’s PID module? I’ve never encountered that before.
