Our company uses vortex flowmeters to measure steam flow, with Wiltech instruments used for displaying the values. However, the instantaneous flow rate shows as zero; it only displays a value for a brief moment when the power is turned on or off. A current of 12 mA was measured. The model of the vortex flowmeter is Kolon VFM1091G. Could someone please analyze this for me?
Testing with a signal generator and Wilte instruments separately for signals only :o
Was it actually effective? Have the flow meter and accumulator been replaced? Logically, since the flow meter sent a signal, it is suspected that there is an issue with the measurement of the digital display; if possible, it would be advisable to try using another gauge. In most cases, pulse signals are used, and volume signals are converted into mass signals after temperature and pressure compensation
Measure the voltage; it’s possible that the output power is not sufficient. Also, check whether the signal terminal is active or passive – make sure it’s connected correctly
There used to be a data usage display; I don’t know when it stopped working
If the voltage is 23V, the power is sufficient. Generally, a large current may be generated when the power is turned off or on; it’s difficult to analyze the situation since only instantaneous values are displayed. Try using another Wilte instrument instead
I found the cause. Thank you; the vortex street is broken
