Dear experts, I have a question. Under normal conditions, the Super God Wave flow meter operates in forward flow mode, and its cumulative readings are also normal. But under certain conditions, there was a period during which reverse flow occurred, and the instantaneous flow rate changed from a positive value to a negative one. I would like to ask: during this period when the value was negative, was the cumulative amount still added up? Or cumulative reduction? Or cumulative inconvenience? ? Thank you:handshake
It depends on the settings. It is possible to set reverse accumulation or not. After setting reverse accumulation, there is a reverse flow, and the accumulated amount will decrease. If reverse accumulation is not enabled, even with reverse traffic, the cumulative amount remains unchanged.
This is a matter related to the functional design of ultrasonic flowmeters; there can be several modes: 1. Accumulation is performed separately for forward and reverse flow, with no interference between them； 2. Forward and reverse cumulative subtraction operation ； 3. Only reverse instantaneous flow rate is available; there is no reverse cumulative function ； 4. Reverse flow calculation is not performed at all. Products from different manufacturers are designed with various functions, and some are equipped with multiple modes, allowing users to make the necessary settings based on their actual usage needs.
