I currently have an EJA438E pressure transmitter with a minimum range of 25 KPa. How can I change its range to 10 KPa, allowing for a lower level of accuracy?
Check whether your gauge supports HART/Brain/FF protocols; if it does, use a controller that supports the corresponding protocols to make the modifications, and if it doesn’t, there’s nothing that can be done
If it has buttons, you can refer to the manual or use the handheld controller
This gauge supports HART, but its physical lower measurement range is 25 KPa. We tried to change its range to below 22 KPa, but it stopped working. Now we are wondering if there is any way to adjust the range to around 10 KPa in order to use it temporarily.
When selecting the range for EJA, the upper limit of the chosen range must be higher than the lowest measurement limit of the transmitter; otherwise, the transmitter will generate an error and become unusable.
It was found that the minimum range is 25 KPA, and of course it cannot be changed. For use in the manufacturing process, the range of the DCS configuration is set to 0~10 KPA, with a formula change made within the system.
