There is a standard orifice plate at the site used to measure the steam flow rate at 0.5 Mpa, and it often experiences large fluctuations as well as inaccurate measurements (usually on the low side). I would appreciate it if experts could check whether there is an issue with its installation
1. The pressure guide tube is too short; there’s no point in installing a condensation tank. 2. The condensation tank is located higher than the pressure sampling point, causing the condensate to flow back
The pressure tapping ports should be installed horizontally; the condensation tank should be made smaller. Insulation should be used to cover the three-valve assembly and components below it, but the gauge heads should not be covered as well.
For measuring gases, it should be installed in this way: for measuring steam flow, the pressure tapping point must be located below, and there must be condensate present.
Is the intention to shorten the pressure tap pipe to prevent surface freezing, or are there constraints regarding the installation location? The fluctuations are likely due to bubbles in the pressure guiding tube or in the condensation tank; if the flow rate is low, check whether there is internal leakage in the balance valve and whether the zero point has shifted. All aspects related to the DCS configuration must also be verified.
Apart from installation issues, accuracy also requires voltage regulation compensation.

The space is limited, so it’s not possible to install it horizontally; for maintenance reasons, it can only be installed at an angle upward
