Is it accurate to measure the liquid level using static pressure when there is a packing layer in the tank?

The heterogeneous advanced oxidation system contains a packing layer; therefore, a static pressure level gauge connected to a sink cable is not used, and instead a diaphragm level gauge mounted on the bottom side is employed. However, it is unclear whether measuring pressure can provide accurate levels, especially when the liquid level is within the packing layer. What other types of level gauges could be used?

In your case, I think a radar or ultrasonic sensor should be used at the top
Does the filler have no effect on the hydrostatic level gauge?
