A beginner asks: There is already a pressure gauge on the outlet of the circulation pump, and now I need to add a remote-mounted pressure transmitter. Can I replace the existing pressure gauge with a pressure transmitter? If that’s not possible, is it possible to add another transmitter somewhere else on the outlet pipeline? Is this transmitter generally installed in front of or behind the outlet valve? I earnestly ask for a reply, thank you!
Or use the same pressure tapping point as the pressure gauge and install another transmitter?

Installing two pressure instruments at a single pressure tapping point does not meet the specification requirements. If the remote sensing point is not involved in any interlock mechanisms, and it is not possible to stop the pump for installation during operation, a tee can be added to the pipeline after the existing root valve, with a shut-off valve as well as pressure gauges and transmitters installed there, so that the instruments can be shut down for maintenance in case of failures.
1. First, you need to consider the function of the additional pressure relaxer you are adding. If the pump is to be started remotely, it is best to install it after the primary valve at the pump outlet. In this way, if the pressure does not rise after the pump starts, the control center should prompt the site staff to check it. If you simply want to display the pump outlet pressure elsewhere, it is best to install the pressure gauge separately from the regulator to facilitate maintenance.
