May I ask if online analysis can be used for the interlocking of SIS systems?
Of course it’s possible, but it still depends on whether the response time required by the process specifications and the measurement lag of the online analyzer are sufficient. Another factor is whether the analyzer meets the SIL level requirements for use in the SIS system. Currently, oxygen content measurement is widely used in SIS interlocks.
