May I ask, what is the use of the pulse output signal from a mass flow meter? Is it simply used to accumulate traffic? Can flow accumulation not be achieved without pulse signals?
1. It can measure cumulative flow rate, as well as instantaneous flow rate. 3 The original signal of the flow meter is a pulse signal, which is used for accumulation without loss of accuracy. The 4-20ma signal is an engineering signal that has been converted, so accuracy will definitely be lost!

The 4–20mA output does not have the same level of precision as pulse output; therefore, pulse output is generally used for accurate measurement. For example, in a quantitative loading system, it is generally connected to the pulse output of a mass flow meter. RS485 communication can also be used to read the instantaneous and cumulative flow rates from the internal registers of the mass flow meter.
