Dear colleagues, during the inspection conducted by our safety supervision department, it was pointed out that the connection plates of our cable trays did not have cross-connections in place. They also failed to provide any relevant standards regarding this matter. After checking online, I couldn’t find any regulations stating that cross-connections are necessary at the connections of galvanized cable trays. I’m curious to know what practices are being followed in your companies Is there any standard to support this? The site environment is Zone 2, a blast-sensitive area.
But it doesn’t state that galvanized cable trays must be bonded together; can it be understood that as long as anti-loosening nuts are used, bonding is not necessary?

Doing a ground strap is a simple task; there’s no need to argue about it with experts.

GB 50303; however, judging from his screenshot, it seems to be based on the old standard, as the relevant provisions are in Article 11 of the new standard.
