CS3000 issues

What’s important is that after each configuration download, the configuration must be backed up to one or two other storage media, in order to prevent failures of the hard drive. As required by the Yokogawa standard procedures, as a backup engineer station, the station name, IP address, and Key code must be identical to those of the original engineer station. After the software is installed: 1. Copy the directory containing the project name from the backup configuration to x:\CS3000\eng\BKProject\, that is, to x:\CS3000\eng\BKProject\Project Name. 2. Open YOKOGAWA CENTUM\System View; in the pop-up box that says “Default project not found, Create?”, select Browse and point to x:\CS3000\eng\BKProject\Project Name. Once this is done, it will become the Current Project. 3. If it is not the Current Project, open Program\YOKOGAWA CENTUM\Project’s Attribution Utility, change the Project attribute to Current (only one Current Project can exist), and click OK. Additionally, it must be noted that the backup configuration must be the same as that in the control station (Current); otherwise, online downloading will not be allowed. Once downloaded to the x# control station, the configuration of the original engineer station can no longer be used on the x# control station; it can only be downloaded offline. Do not use the two engineer stations interchangeably, as it is easy to make mistakes with the configuration files. One should be used for online operations and the other as a backup; the key is to back up the configuration after each download. It’s offline; copy the backed-up configuration to the backup unit and switch the backup unit to online mode.

Hello, hero! I followed your method, but encountered the following issue: As shown in the figure, it says “Because it exceeds the permissible number (0) of application capacity expanded packages, the project (LGKF01) cannot be opened.” I’m not sure what the problem is.

This post was last edited by jlshnlhj on 2020-6-25 20:45. Is the keycode from the engineer station being used? Look for the reason in terms of the permissible number (0); it shouldn’t be 0. Is this project the original engineer station mentioned on the 1st floor, or is it another project that has been imported? Try this: create a default project, change the project properties from default to user-defined, register an actual engineering project, and set its properties to the current ones. 1. Copy the project name directory from the backup configuration to x:\CS3000\eng\BKProject\, that is, to x:\CS3000\eng\BKProject\project name:. Delete other project files. 2. Open YOKOGAWA CENTUM\System View, and in the pop-up box that says “default project not found, Create?” select: YES, to create a default project named MYPJT. Then close System View. 3. Open the program \YOKOGAWA CENTUM\Project’s Attribution Utility, select the default project MYPJT, click Change, change it to UserDefined Project, then click Apply. 4. Continue by clicking Register, point to x:\CS3000\eng\BKProject\project name, select Current Project for Project Attribute, and then click Apply.

Oh, now I understand. The last time the Yokogawa DCS engineer came to make configuration changes, it seemed that a file package was added; I copied the project files, and they were different from the files on my backup engineer station.
