Boiler level control

My plant is a sulfur plant with a waste heat boiler; I see that the boiler feed water control valve has two options: \"level control\" and \"drum controller\". We are currently using level control; could an expert explain the differences between these two types of control? Under what circumstances should which control be used? Thank you so much
Can’t I view the configuration? I guess it might be single impulse and triple impulse
What is a “vapor drum controller”? Which parameters of the steam drum are controlled? Vessel pressure? Vessel liquid level? ?
I guess it’s what you mean; it’s just called by a different name!
Is the drum controller quite old? Level control isn’t a big problem.
It’s exactly as mentioned on the second floor: one is the control of the relationship between liquid level and flow rate, which can be understood as flow rate being used in conjunction with level control! Another is the boiler drum control, which establishes a relationship among the liquid level, water inflow, and the amount of steam generated by the boiler – what is commonly referred to as three-variable control.
If that is the case, drum control makes it easier to estimate energy consumption and thus more energy-efficient
Three Impulse control is safer; energy savings are just one aspect of it!
