Flow meters for oil blending: Should imported or domestic mass flow meters be used, or dual-rotor flow meters?
Depending on the accuracy requirement, choose a domestic brand mass flow meter for class 0.2 accuracy, and an imported brand mass flow meter for class 0.1 accuracy. A filter must be installed on dual-rotor flow meters; the OVAL ULTRA UF-II series can be used for this purpose.

If continuous mixing is done online, then a mass flow meter is a good choice; an accuracy level of 0.25 is sufficient, as it isn’t used for trade-related measurements. In the case of tank blending, a regular volumetric flow meter is sufficient, as the oil product that has been pre-blended in the tank will still undergo final fine-tuning; the measurement of volume or weight can be calculated based on the data related to the individual blending components.
Previously, rotameters were mostly used; now, with increasing demands for accuracy, many have switched to mass flowmeters.
It is recommended to use mass flow meters with high accuracy and a low failure rate.
