Operation records of DCS

Recently, the environmental protection authorities have asked companies to provide records of DCS operation, which I find confusing. Once the DCS is powered on, it keeps running continuously without any power outages – so how can operation records be provided?
I guess it’s to have you provide some records of routine inspections and maintenance.
Typically, DCS systems have a diagnostic function that can generate a report automatically; manufacturers use this report for recording purposes and for evaluation during maintenance. For the daily maintenance of DCS, a table is used to record the inspections carried out by staff on a daily basis (including the operating status of controllers, cards, the network, lights, fans, etc.). This should be the operation record required by environmental protection regulations
Generally, DCS systems can store their own operation records, provided that you have made the necessary settings. I think this is probably what’s needed.
