Safety valves belong to the category of automatic valves and are primarily used in boilers, pressure vessels, and pipelines to ensure that pressure does not exceed specified levels, thereby playing a crucial role in protecting both human safety and the proper operation of equipment. Safety valves can be pilot-operated or spring-operated; so what is a spring-operated safety valve? A spring-type safety valve is mainly composed of a valve body, a valve, a tightening knob, gaskets, a spring, a screw rod, screws, nuts, a valve cover, and a cover. The valve body of this product houses the valve, which in turn contains the spring; a valve cover is placed at the upper end of the spring. The screw rod is located on the valve cover and inside the cover, with nuts attached to it. Screws pass through the cover to connect to the valve cover, while the cover is fixed to the valve body via the tightening knob. Gaskets are placed on the lower side of the valve body and the upper side of the tightening knob. This product enables a spring-loaded safety valve of the threaded connection type that provides automatic protection. A spring-loaded safety valve relies on the elastic force of a spring to keep the valve’s disc or plunger and other sealing elements closed. When the pressure in a pressure vessel becomes abnormally high, this high pressure overcomes the spring force of the safety valve, causing the closing mechanism to be pushed open and creating a pressure release path through which the high pressure can be discharged. Depending on the opening height of the valve disc, it is further divided into full-opening type and slight-opening type. The full-lift type has a large discharge volume and good rebound strength, and is suitable for liquid and gas media; the micro-lift type is only suitable for liquid media. All types of safety valves should be installed vertically. There should be no resistance at the outlet of the safety valve to prevent pressure buildup. The safety valve should be tested specifically before installation, and its sealing performance should be checked. Safety valves in use should be regularly inspected
