I would like to know what certificates are required for those working in this field at present. Is the meter reader certificate issued by the former Quality Supervision Bureau still valid? I’ve also heard of a private training institution in Guangdong. Which department’s certificate is considered valid if one needs to obtain such a certificate? The national standards only state that technicians must hold a certificate to work, but they do not specify what kind of certificate is required. Is there a certificate issued by the Work Safety Administration, similar to an electrician’s certificate, that is recognized nationwide?
