Based on the interface of your company, our company classifies the data sheets for safety valves under the instrumentation department
In design institutes, the data sheets for safety valves are generally classified under the process systems; instrumentation staff are not familiar with them, and I guess they don’t know how to calculate things like the discharge volume
The design and selection of safety valves fall within the scope of process design. However, in actual on-site maintenance and annual calibration, it is generally the instruments that are responsible.
