The design is flawed – magnetic level gauges are used for the tanks in those pits. This transmitter is located at the bottom of a pit and is often flooded. Can it be moved to a higher location? It’s still better to replace the radar level gauge
It can be replaced at the top, but it’s almost the same as a new one!
It can be moved to the top, but it’s not just a simple movement from the bottom to the top. Just switch to another one
Buy another one, a long-distance rod, and just change it to an upper wiring connection
The magnetic flap and the remote transmission rod are two separate components that are installed together
The remote control rod seems to have upper and lower mounting parts; replacing it with another one should work. Turning it around directly seems to cause some issues :)
For this reed switch, there are those with the connection to the meter head at the top and those with it at the bottom. Anyway, I tried changing it as suggested above but it didn’t work. Just buy a new one.
Just contact the manufacturer and switch the header to the above one
For selection purposes, a top-mounted magnetic flap level gauge can be chosen
I have a suggestion: the magnet tube can be installed in reverse, and then a logical inversion can be applied in the DCS to invert the 4-20ma signal
This post was last edited by pcxg on 2021-4-20 at 17:00. First, simply knock down the remote transmission rod; then remove the sensor to check whether there are 2 wires or 3 wires. If there are 3 wires, swap the A/C wires (the middle wire can be identified by measuring its resistance). If there are 2 wires, pull out all the magnetic tubes and turn them upside down, then change the original lower wire to the upper one.
