In a data table, there is a PID diagram for the flushing water of the liquid level gauge in the coal chemical gasification furnace; in this diagram, the flow rate of the flushing water for the dual-flange liquid level gauge is indicated as PG. In the instrument data table, this is referred to as FICA, and its name is purge rotameter – PG represents the rotameter itself, and both of these instruments are installed locally. I don’t know the difference between these two. Those who take leave, please give me some advice.

There’s no difference; the purge version just indicates its purpose!

Essentially, they are all rotameters, but they have different uses. 1. FG is an indication function and does not participate in flow control. 2. The basic function of a purge flow meter is indication, but it provides a needle valve for adjusting the flow rate. The downstream user of the owner is the device port of the level gauge. Blowing is done to prevent high temperatures or clogging, thereby avoiding failures of the level gauge. FICV: Indicates that the flow meter is equipped with a constant-flow valve; when the pressure on the process side increases, the constant-flow valve opens automatically to maintain the preset purging flow rate.

F flow refers to flow rate, while G means local display – the original poster made a mistake. PG is an on-site pressure gauge. I indicates, C controls and adjusts, A triggers an alarm
FICA is a flow indication and regulation alarm; it should be equipped with a transmitter for remote signal transmission

With different functions, FG is a flow meter for on-site indication, showing the instantaneous flow rate of the flushing water (main pipe); FICV is used to display and control the flushing water volume for each transmitter.
