Does anyone have a diagram of the central control room? Is explosion resistance usually provided?
Before I left, the main entrance to the control building at my former company was replaced with two metal blast-resistant doors, along with an interlock system – ensuring that at least one of the two doors remains closed

It mainly depends on the type of chemical processing plant and its explosion risk level. Nowadays, large-scale oil refining/chemical plants generally have explosion-proof control rooms, while those that are more advanced have been equipped with intelligent control rooms.
