I recently saw the 3051D launched by Emerson; its price is lower than that of the C series, and it’s roughly on par with or slightly cheaper than the EJA models. Those who have used it could please share their insights on the comparisons or their experience using it? Thank you!
The 3051D was designed for those who want to use the 3051 series but find it expensive, or think it’s more costly compared to other brands. The basic performance parameters are the same as those of the 3051C, but it lacks some of the advanced features found in the 3051C.
Thank you for getting back to me. How effective is it? Especially compared to the C series or EJA? According to the specifications, it has a warranty of 7 years; the C series comes with a 10-year warranty, but its accuracy is somewhat lower.
Compared to EJA, I’m not very sure. Compared to the C series, it’s like a stripped-down version of the C series. The precision will be slightly lower than that of C, but it’s still sufficient. Emerson will still promote the C series; it is only when owners want to use it but are concerned about costs that the D series would be recommended. It works fine in practical applications. Stability: 10 years or 7 years. Personally, I think this parameter is a bit vague; it still depends on the operating conditions
Personally, I think a precision of 0.075 is more than sufficient to meet ordinary measurement requirements; increasing the cost by improving precision seems like a way of misleading us as manufacturing companies. I tried using a D single-flange unit, and it worked fine for 3 years without any problems. However, several 2051 series single-flange units broke down within less than 3 years, which is a bit puzzling.
Thank you for the reply! The warranty period for the D series is seven years; the key point is that it still relies on the capacitive principle, presumably in a simplified version. It is understood that the 2051 model is a modified version of the original 2088 series; it belongs to the category of cost-effective transmitters introduced before the 1990s. Its performance is significantly inferior to that of the 1151 model from that period, and its price is low as well, which explains why it tends to break down frequently. I’m just wondering, when comparing the prices of the D series and EJA, how should one make a choice? I’d like to hear the opinions of experts.
2051 is by no means a platform for 2088. Let me tell you in secret: 2051 and 3051 use the same core components; the differences lie only in their functions and signal processing. As for usage, I personally don’t think it will be as poor as you say; it also depends on the operating conditions. 2051 no longer exists, I guess; 2051 was a failure.

For pressure transmitters, EJA and Emerson are the clear leaders. EJA’s technology is more sophisticated, but its price is more affordable. The 3051D is essentially a reduced-version of the 3051C; why pay the same amount for a reduced-version model when you can just go with EJA?
At that time, we were also comparing the D series with the EJA. Currently, both the D series and the EJA are widely used, and there are no significant quality issues with either. If I had to choose one, I would probably go for the EJA, mainly because it seems easier to adjust.
