Remote operation settings for the engineer station

Currently, our company’s engineer station, central control room, and DCS cabinets are all located on the 5th floor. According to Jiangsu’s ‘Inherent Safety Diagnosis Requirements’, the central control room should be moved outside the production area; it has therefore been decided to place it on the 1st floor. If the engineer station is also moved to the 1st floor, it will be very inconvenient for maintenance purposes. Is there any way to keep the engineer station on the 5th floor while only connecting the monitors, keyboards, and mice from the engineer station to the 1st floor? This would allow remote operation from the 1st floor. If this is possible, what equipment would be needed to achieve this functionality?
Is the engineer station different from the operation station? Or does the engineer station have other functions? Is it possible to have another engineer station?
What kind of company is yours, that designs a DCS for the 5th floor, not in the chemical industry? Now, chemical companies require that if an explosion-resistant structure is used within the plant area, buildings can only have one floor; but if it’s outside the plant, you can place them wherever you want – is there any regulation regarding that? To achieve the function you mentioned, a price video distributor would be needed, with the mouse and keyboard connected via USB extension cables; however, this is difficult to implement due to signal attenuation issues
