If the HD-LDE electromagnetic flowmeter experiences shaking during use, it is necessary to identify the cause. The author has summarized five possible reasons, in the hope that this will assist users in their future use of the device. The reasons for fluctuations in the output of electromagnetic flowmeters can be summarized into 5: 1. Electromagnetic interference such as external stray currents ; 2. The fundamental reasons for physical properties of liquids, such as slurries containing variable-sized particles/fibers or uneven electrical conductivity of liquids ; 3. The liquid contains bubbles, or the end of the drainage pipe is filled with liquid ; 4. Inappropriate matching between electrode material and liquid ; 5. Fluidity is inherently pulsating or fluctuating; it is not essentially a fault of the flow meter, but rather a true reflection of the state of fluidity. Solutions to the shaking issue in HD-LDE electromagnetic flowmeters: 1. Increase the instrument’s damping. 2. Check whether there are sources of pulsating flow disturbances in the piping system of the electromagnetic flowmeter, and determine whether the source of flow energy is a diaphragm pump or a reciprocating pump. 3. Install a gas chamber and flow-damping components to reduce pulsations.
